CalFresh SNAP Benefit Awareness

Goal:

A large MCO serving over 12 million members partnered with mPulse to drive awareness and signups for SNAP food benefit assistance among eligible California beneficiaries.

Solution:

Leverage an omnichannel combination of Email and SMS outreach to educate members about the available benefit while empowering them to complete the application via in-message links.

Results:

20.5%

of all eligible households engaged with the program

higher likelihood of members completing the application when Email was used in addition to SMS, rather than just SMS alone
